BSA Troop 6 : Brookline, MA

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

For nearly a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and through nearly a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

Brookline's Troop 6 teaches boys camping, hiking, first aid, athletic games, citizenship, service, and leadership skills through fun and safe activities. We are celebrating our 93rd year and our 91st Eagle Scout. We currently meet weekly on Tuesday evenings from 7- 8:30 and schedule a trip once a month. We are part of Boy Scout's Boston Minuteman Council. Being from the Brookline community we attempt to reflect and honor the cultural, ethnic, religious, and lifestyle diversity that is Brookline, MA. Our chartering organization is the Church of Our Savior on Monmouth Street.

TROOP 6 WINS KLONDIKE DERBY
Februrary 8th, 2008

Five scouts camped out in a lean-to as part of the annual Klondike Derby.  Our scouts did very well at each station of the competition.  Out of a possible 100 points, they scored 96 at orienteering station, 100 at camping, and amazingly, 105 at the First Aid station.  Everyone was courteous and worked together as a team.  Troop 6 placed first at the Klondike Derby again.
Congratulations to everyone for the great job they did.
